In this training program the professionals will acquire the essential knowledge to effectively plan, develop, implement and monitor a Cleaning, Disinfection and Hygiene program in the healthcare settings. This is a program that leads to a certification of professional knowledge and specialization in accordance with ISO 17024.
OBJECTIVES
Participants will acquire basic knowledge and skills regarding the following major issues:
- Understanding principles of hygiene and safe hospital environment and preconditions
- Recognition and effective management of patient safety related to the healthcare facilities’ condition and cleaning level
- Best practices and methodologies to plan and implement cleaning and housekeeping standards in healthcare facilities
- Best practices and methodologies to plan and implement disinfection and infections’ control standards in healthcare facilities
- Medical waste management, high risk units’ OR, laboratories’ cleaning management, medical devices’ and critical surfaces cleaning and disinfection
- Evaluation and strengthening/enhancement of cleaning and hygiene in hospitals
- Continuous improvement practices
