The Euro-Mediterranean Institute for Quality and Safety in Health Services, Avedis Donabedian, is pleased to announce the successful completion of its project with the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy<\/strong> (ESRA<\/strong>) to develop governance and quality management systems in accordance with the ISO\u202f9001:2015 standard<\/strong>. This internationally recognized standard provides a framework for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a Quality Management System.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The European Society of Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy, founded in 1982, has long been committed to stimulating research, promoting education, and training anesthesiologists in Regional Anaesthesia, Pain Therapy, POCUS, and Peri-operative care across Europe and beyond. By 2023, its reach had expanded to an audience of 25,000 specialists, including over 8,000 voting members.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The certification of ESRA under ISO\u202f9001:2015 underscores its dedication to quality, accountability, and operational excellence, positioning it among a distinguished group of organizations that adhere to internationally recognized standards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Euro-Mediterranean Institute played a key role in this achievement by delivering expertise in situational analysis, developing governance frameworks, creating quality assurance systems, training staff, and conducting internal audits. The Institute also designed policies and tools to support the implementation of quality assurance, accountability, sustainability, and transparency initiatives. Additionally, it established performance indicators (KPIs) with monitoring mechanisms to ensure ongoing compliance and developed risk assessment and management tools to align ESRA\u2019s operations with ISO 9001 requirements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Euro-Mediterranean Institute for Quality and Safety in Health Services congratulates the ESRA team and extends special thanks to President Ms. Eleni Moka for her outstanding leadership and Administrative Manager Ms. Aline Christen for her dedication to this remarkable achievement.
