Assistant Scientific Coordinator
Mr. Georgios S. Bais is a Master’s Degree Candidate in “Health Care Management (MHM)” at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Macedonia and a Bachelor’s Degree holder of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics at the School of Sciences of the University of Thessaly.
He is an Assistant Scientific Coordinator at the Euro-Mediterranean Institute for Quality and Safety in Health Services Avedis Donabedian and actively participates in the design and implementation of scientific, research, and educational activities in the areas of quality in health services, patient safety, and the continuous, sustainable improvement of health services. At the same time, he participates in research and scientific initiatives primarily aimed at promoting evidence-based practice and innovation in the healthcare sector.
His academic and research interests include the organization and management of healthcare facilities, quality assurance, patient safety, e-health, health information systems, and the application of modern technologies to improve the effectiveness and quality of healthcare services.
Finally, he contributed to the academic book “Health Economics: Contemporary Trends and Perspectives” (Tsotras Publications) as the author of the chapter “Ethics & Deontology, Human Values, and Well-being,” which addresses the importance of building and continuously strengthening an ethically sustainable, patient-centered, and values-driven healthcare system.
