Rizos Fotios
External Consultant - Healthcare Quality Expert
Mr. Fotios Rizos is a specialist in quality assurance and safety in healthcare services, with more than twelve years of professional experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of management systems. He has coordinated a large number of consulting projects in hospitals, private clinics, diagnostic centers, and other organizations, focusing on the implementation of international standards and certification and accreditation schemes, such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, EN 15224, as well as accreditation standards for healthcare services.
He has served as a Project Manager at a healthcare services certification and accreditation body, overseeing the planning, coordination, and monitoring of complex quality projects in Greece and Cyprus. His experience includes deviation analysis, the development of policies and procedures, staff training, conducting inspections, and preparing organizations for external evaluation. In addition, he has experience as a Quality Inspector, technical assessor, and Head of Training and Certification of Personnel in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17024.
He is a graduate of the Department of Health and Welfare Management at the University of West Attica and holds a master’s degree in “Health Economics and Management” from the University of Piraeus. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Business Administration at the University of West Attica, focusing his research on sustainable financing and the integration of ESG factors in the healthcare sector.
