Kopsidas Ioannis

Mr. Ioannis Kopsidas is a physician, scientist, and researcher in the field of public health with over 15 years of experience in the epidemiology of infectious diseases, the surveillance of antimicrobial resistance, and the prevention and control of infections. He is also he serves as a principal investigator on major EU-funded projects focused on monitoring antibiotic use and healthcare-associated infections, as well as the national coordinator for Greece in the TEAMCOACH (EU4H) program and co-coordinator of the pan-European vaccine clinical trials network VACCELERATE. He has authored 62 peer-reviewed publications, with an h-index of 19, and has received over 1,700 citations. He was awarded the ESPID 2021 Award for Outstanding Communication and serves as an International Ambassador for SHEA (2018, 2025).
