Quality in health services is not ensured solely through the scientific competence of health professionals. It requires the existence of organized systems that enable the systematic monitoring, evaluation and improvement of the care provided.

According to the Avedis Donabedian framework, quality in health services is assessed through the structure, processes and outcomes of care. Modern approaches by WHO, OECD and ISQua incorporate additional dimensions such as patient safety, patient experience, effectiveness, efficiency, equity and person-centered care.

The Euro-Mediterranean Institute supports health organizations in developing integrated Quality Assurance Systems that enable the transition from fragmented quality actions to a coherent and sustainable model of continuous improvement.
