The EuroMediterranean Institute of Quality and Safety in Healthcare Services is delighted and honoured to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Thessaly.
The Memorandum of Cooperation constitutes a continuation of the excellent collaboration between the EuroMediterranean Institute and the Intelligent Systems Laboratory of the University of Thessaly, within the framework of the development of the “Proposal Report for Institutional and Regulatory Changes for the National Telemedicine Network” and the development of the deliverable “Standard Framework and Specifications for the Development of Telemedicine Protocols in Greece”, under the scientific supervision of Dr Charalampos Karanikas.
At the same time, the Institute maintains a close scientific collaboration with the Laboratory of Education and Research in Trauma Care and Patient Safety of Dr Maria Malliarou.
The two organizations agree to implement a broad range of initiatives, including:
The promotion, support, and implementation of programmes aimed at the development and provision of high-quality healthcare services.
The joint development and implementation of research and educational activities, both theoretical and practical in nature, with emphasis on continuing education and certified specialization.
The transfer of expertise to the market through pilot, consulting, and support programmes.
Collaboration in the management and implementation of national, European, and internationally funded projects.
The creation of incentives for students’ participation in research activities and the development of pathways for professional career advancement.
The development of collaborations with public and private sector organizations for technical support, evaluation, training, and participation in research projects.
The attraction of resources for the creation and strengthening of infrastructures, addressing the educational and knowledge needs of the Institute and its students.
The co-organization of conferences, scientific events, lectures, and seminars at national and international level.
The utilization of shared digital communication channels and social media platforms for promoting the activities and work of both organizations.
The development of additional initiatives of mutual interest, according to emerging needs and opportunities.
