Mr. Daoukas Stavros is Lecturer in Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation, in the School of Health and Social Care, at London South Bank University in the UK. He teaches across the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, Sport Rehabilitation, Chiropractic and MSc Physiotherapy courses. He is the Module Lead for Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology as well as Clinical Placement Lead.

Mr. Daoukas has previously worked as an Athletic Therapist in the National Health Service (NHS), medical teams at Barnet FC and Queens Park Rangers FC, and Lecturer in Sports Therapy at the University of Bedfordshire. Alongside academia, Mr. Daoukas works as a Consultant MSK Sonographer at Third Space Sports Medicine Clinic, being responsible for the examination and diagnosis of neuromusculoskeletal injuries and disorders through the use of diagnostic ultrasound.

Mr. Daoukas qualified from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and subsequently completed his MSc in Sport Rehabilitation at St. Mary’s University Twickenham, and his Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasonography at University of East London.

He has instituted and is the President of the Panhellenic (Greek) Association of Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, the official body protecting the rights of Athletic Therapists in Greece. He is also the Clinical Director of ATR – Healthcare Training,  a healthcare training provider organising and delivering courses in musculoskeletal medicine for healthcare professionals.

Mr. Daoukas is Committee Member of the Research and Education Committee of the World Federation of Athletic Therapy (WFATT), full member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS), the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT) and the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine (BASEM).
