Clinical governance is the framework through which health organizations ensure that the services they provide are safe, effective, evidence-based and oriented toward continuous improvement. In an environment of increasing demands for quality, accountability and transparency, the development of standardized processes and governance mechanisms is a fundamental prerequisite for the sustainable operation of health services.

The Euro-Mediterranean Institute for Quality and Safety in Health Services supports health organizations in designing and implementing integrated clinical governance systems that enable effective management of operations, evidence-informed decision-making and the development of a culture of quality and safety.
