Mr. Dimosthenis Kostoulas was born in Thessaloniki and after graduating from the American College of Thessaloniki, he continued his studies at the University of Macedonia (Department of International & European Economic and Political Studies), to be followed by a MSc Degree in International Business & Finance at the University of Reading UK. From 2013 to 2015, he further expanded his studies with a MBA from The University of Winchester UK and ICBS Business College.

A passionate and highly motivated professional with many years of experience in several managerial positions in different companies and sectors (in Athens & Thessaloniki), with expertise in Quality & Compliance Management (QMS Auditor / Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2015 – IRCA Certified), in Data Protection (Certified DPO Executive), , in Risk Management, as well as in Reporting / Budgeting / Planning.

Since 2011 he is working as a Quality & Compliance Manager / DPO at GENESIS Hospital Thessaloniki, and since 2018, as a GDPR Expert, he provides full GDPR compliance programs and DPO services mainly in Hospitals & Diagnostic Centers. Within this frame, he has trained more than 1,700 employees on data protection issues (Euromedica Medical Group – North Greece).

He is co-author of the book titled “Compliance according to GDPR – Practical issues – Examples” (Pubisher: NOMORAMA.NT / January 2020 / in Greek) and:

• Member of BOD of Greece’s Branch of the European Association of Data Protection Professionals and Chair of the Communications & Events Committee of the local branch
• Member of Panhellenic Network of Professional DPOs (DPO Network Greece)
• Member of Institute of Privacy Professionals North Greece (INEPID)
