The implementation of the two-day educational workshops across all Regional Health Authorities (RHAs) has been successfully completed. The workshops were organized by IQVIA HELLAS and the EuroMediterranean Institute of Quality & Safety in Healthcare Services, Avedis Donabedian. Their objective was to promote strategies and priorities for Quality Assurance in Healthcare and Patient Safety, within the framework of the services provided by the Hellenic Organization for Quality Assurance in Health S.A. (ODIPY S.A.).
The workshops were addressed to executives of the Healthcare System and the Regional Health Authorities, with particular emphasis on professionals from Medical and Nursing Services, as well as representatives of Hospital Committees.
The series of workshops commenced with the 1st and 2nd Regional Health Authorities and continued across all Regional Health Authorities, concluding with the workshop held at the 7th Regional Health Authority of Crete on 28–29 November 2024.
The conclusions and observations derived from the discussions held during the workshops will be utilized to further improve the quality of healthcare services and to contribute to the development of proposals aimed at strengthening quality and patient safety in healthcare delivery. At the same time, they will serve as a valuable foundation for the design of targeted interventions and for enhancing collaboration among the involved stakeholders.
The initiative “Empowering the Healthcare Workforce for the Successful Implementation of the National Strategy for Quality Assurance in Healthcare” is part of the operation “Improving the Quality of Healthcare Services” (MIS Code: 5180919), which has been submitted under the “Organizational Reforms in the Healthcare System” measure funded through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).
